The RTL Luxembourg CEO replaces Fred Lemaire at the helm of the technical service provider. Lemaire becomes COO at BCE and CFO at RTL Luxembourg.

RTL Group today announced on Wednesday that the CEO of RTL Luxembourg, Christophe Goossens, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the group’s Luxembourg-based technical service provider, Broadcasting Center Europe (BCE).

BCE provides a wide range of media services to some 400 clients including TV channels, radio stations, film distributors, producers and advertising companies. Speaking of the move, Elmar Heggen, COO and deputy CEO of RTL Group, praised Goossens’ strong leadership skills. “He has enriched RTL Luxembourg’s news offering and strengthened the company’s editorial independence. His entrepreneurial spirit, digital mindset and strong network will be key to enhance BCE’s market position as a leading technical service provider – both in Luxembourg and across Europe.”

Fred Lemaire, who was CEO at BCE, has become its Chief Operating Officer and has also been named as CFO of RTL Luxembourg.

“I am delighted that Fred Lemaire will continue to serve in the executive management of BCE and will also contribute his experience and financial expertise to the further development of RTL Luxembourg,” Heggen said.
