The minister for the civil service, (CSV), inaugurated a new coworking space in Clervaux on Friday 2 May, in the presence of mayor Georges Keipes. The site, reserved for public service employees, offers 14 workstations and is part of a government strategy to bring the workplace closer to home.
Launched in March in Schieren with 22 places, the scheme aims to reduce commuting times and CO₂ emissions. At Clervaux, 1,080 agents (per year) could save an average of 57 minutes and 72 kilometers of travel per day. The result: up to 26.2 tonnes of CO₂ avoided each year.
"Coworking not only improves the quality of life for agents but is also a contribution to environmental protection," Serge Wilmes stressed.
Other sites are in the pipeline, including one in Dudelange/Bettembourg from September 2025. By 2026, 120 positions will be available to public service employees.
