Cube Infrastructure Managers appointed Emmanuel Rogy as COO, Xavier Martin as head of telecoms and digital and Stéphane Calas as head of financing and operational control, reinforcing its leadership team as part of its succession plan.

Luxembourg-based Cube Infrastructure Managers announced a series of senior leadership appointments as part of its ongoing succession plan. The changes, which will take effect on 1 April 2025, included the appointment of Emmanuel Rogy as chief operating officer, Xavier Martin as partner and head of telecoms and digital, and Stéphane Calas as head of financing and operational control.

Rogy, who joined Cube IM in 2023 as partner, had held multiple roles, including head of human resources, head of portfolio management for special asset situations and member of Cube IM’s management committee. In 2024, he was appointed chairman of the executive committee of the connecting Europe broadband fund (CEBF). In his new capacity as COO, he will continue to oversee these areas while taking on additional responsibilities for all corporate and organisational matters at Cube IM.

Martin, who had worked with Cube IM since 2018, will lead Cube IM’s telecoms and digital platform across its brownfield flagship strategy and the greenfield CEBF. He will also join Cube IM’s management committee and assume the role of deputy chairman of the CEBF executive committee. His previous experience included senior leadership roles at Portuguese telecoms operators ONI, where he served as CEO and CTO, and Dstelecom, where he was executive president. He had also been CEO of Angolan telecom operator Movicel and had held leadership positions at Spanish telecoms group Telefónica. In 2018, he became a senior advisor to CEBF and a board member of several of its portfolio companies. Since 2023, he had been a member of the CEBF executive committee.

Calas, who had been with Cube IM since 2010, will assume responsibility for all debt financings for Cube’s portfolio companies. He will also oversee operational control and performance reporting across all portfolio companies. Calas had led investments, asset management and exits in the telecoms, energy transition and transport sectors. He had been a partner at Cube IM since 2022.

Cube IM’s partner, chairman and CEO Renaud de Matharel stated that the appointments were an integral part of the firm’s succession planning and followed the onboarding of managing directors and key officers into the ownership of the manager. He added that Martin’s three decades of experience in the telecoms industry would bring sector expertise to the firm and that the leadership changes were intended to strengthen Cube IM’s position for its growth strategy.

Cube IM is an independent mid-market infrastructure investor focused on telecoms, energy transition and transport sectors across Europe.
