As part of the 10×6 Expat Rockstars event, organised by the Paperjam Club on Thursday 19 September, Sandrine Lingom, founder & manager of Ô2Continents, shares her journey and her point of view.

How did you come up with the idea to move to Luxembourg, and/or what made you decide to settle here?

Sandrine Lingom: From Cameroon to Germany (where I grew up) to Luxembourg, in July 2015.

As a student, I used to travel in different places of the world . When the time came to decide where my ‘future life’ should be, I gave myself two choices: Switzerland or Luxembourg.

I chose Luxembourg because I felt easily connected  and could easily access multiple cultures. Cultural diversity is found in one spot. This allows me to feel at home in this part of the world (in particular, Europe).

Cultural diversity was designed to provide us with joy and fulfillment. It doesn’t exist to be solely or shyly observed from afar. It exists so that we can create unique life experiences and human relational bonds. It gives us choices in how we want to be, live and become. It enriches us and helps us understand that in reality we are all one.

What aspects of Luxembourg attracted you the most?

The realisation that Luxembourg is the best environment to express my life project (Ô2Continents). Ô2Continents uses culinary arts as an instrument to promote cultural diversity.

We operate in different countries across the globe, but Luxembourg will always remain the Mother Earth for our project.

What do you think about the professional or entrepreneurial opportunities available in Luxembourg?

They are endless. We do not lack opportunities in Luxembourg. We lack knowledge on everything that is or could be possible.
