At their congress, the Young Socialists renewed their leadership. Danielle Filbig succeeds Izabela Golinska and Max Molitor is confirmed for a further year.

The Young Socialists meeting at congress on 15 March was due to renew their two-headed leadership. Max Molitor, the current co-president, had his term of office extended for a further year. Maurice Schwarz was also confirmed as General Secretary.

Danielle Filbig was chosen as the new co-president to replace Izabela Golinska, who resigned for professional reasons. Danielle Filbig is no novice in politics. In June 2023, she ran for the Socialist Party in the local elections and became a local councillor in Rambrouch. At the same time, she volunteered for the European elections in June 2024. Co-leader of the LSAP list for the European elections alongside , she received 45,398 votes (30,802 list votes and 14,596 nominal votes). The new JSL co-president studied political science and international law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the Université d'Aix-Marseille.

At the congress, Max Molitor called on politicians to "take young people and their concerns seriously.”
