Companies have until 30 September to benefit from government aid designed to compensate for the increase in the minimum social wage.

This government scheme takes the form of a one-off premium that is allocated for a single month and covers the period from January to June 2021.

Companies that meet the criteria can submit their application by the end of September. They can do so digitally at Guichet.lu where information regarding the conditions can also be found.

Applicants can submit their requests with the help of an online assistant available through MyGuichet.lu and requires a LuxTrust identifier or an electronic identity card. The payment period for eligible files is usually one week.

Approximately €1.5m have so far been transferred as part of the compensation for the increase in the social minimum wage.

“I would like to highlight that the Directorate-General for the Middle Classes deals with each application quickly and carefully in order to guarantee effective support. However, it is essential that applications are submitted as soon as possible. I therefore invite all eligible companies to apply for support in good time,” said small and medium size business minister Lex Delles (DP).
