About 900 guests attended the soirée, with many entering the “best dressed” competition. The dress code for the contest was “your favourite Delano party.” In other words, dress according to the past Delano celebration theme of their choice.
Best dressed prize winners
Prizes were awarded in nine best dressed categories.
Best dressed of the night: The grand prize, a 7-day stay for two at the 6-star luxury resort in Egypt, courtesy of Luxair, was won by Mary and Michael.
There were eight bottles of champagne awarded to snazzy guests:
-Wild Wild West: Isabelle.
-Cool Britannia prize: Joanna.
-Everything’s gone green prize: Irene.
-Spice it up prize: Barbara.
-Skål! prize: Stéphane, “Mr Abba.”
-Miami Beach Party prize: “Miami Beach Boy.”
-Going South prize: Rebecca.
-Best dressed couple: “The Aviator and Flight Attendant.”
Birthday bash
The master of ceremonies was Nickie Nicole, who appears on RTL4’s “” and performs internationally.
DJ Ben Leo was on the decks.
Delano’s 12th anniversary party was sponsored by ING and Foyer, produced by the Paperjam + Delano Business Club and held at Melusina in Clausen.
Nine financial associations and international chambers of commerce partnered on the event to guarantee the evening’s success: the American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg, British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg, British-Luxembourg Society, China-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (Chinalux), Indian Business Chamber of Luxembourg, Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (Lhoft), Luxembourg-Poland Chamber of Commerce, Luxembourg Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (LPEA) and the Peruvian Chamber of Commerce.
