The charity event always has a different theme, and this year Femmes Développement went back to its roots by creating an African vibe and asking guests to wear African-inspired dress. As is now customary, the event was a sell-out with over 300 guests filling the Casino 2000’s Chapito. MC for the evening Gabriel Boisante introduced the charity’s president, Rwandan priest Abbé Pierre and vice-president, Luxembourg-based entrepreneur Luisella Moreschi.

Entertainment was provided by Li Marteling’s school of dance with an Afro Jazz Dance presentation, models under the tutelage of Liz Del Boccio wearing African prints, and Motown tribute act Trio Suprema from England.

Funds were not only raised by ticket sales, but also via a tombola featuring an impressive number of great prizes, ranging from a Jeroboam of champagne and jewellery to dinners in some of Luxembourg’s best restaurants and stays in luxury hotels in the south of France.
