The campaign, which was launched on Friday, with the national crime prevention service of the police, provides advice to raise awareness about trickster robberies, internet scams and other common methods used by criminals use to steal.
It is comprised of leaflets and posters in several languages containing advice on how to recognise a scam and respond appropriately.
The leaflets will be distributed to residents, retirement homes, hospitals, police stations, GP practices and in local commune buildings.
In addition, security advisors for the elderly will host a handful of conferences at senior citizens clubs and associations to help raise awareness about the scams being used.
