Led by honorary consul of Luxembourg to Bangladesh Nasreen Zamir, the trade mission had met with government officials and representatives of other institutions. The second day of their visit to the Grand Duchy was spent visiting companies they had selected, including Maison Moderne, Cargolux, SES and logistics company Jan de Nul. They were accompanied by Bangladesh’s honorary consul to Luxembourg, Thierry Reisch, and advisor on international affairs at the Luxembourg chamber of commerce Chambre de Commerce Violaine Mathurin.

The delegation comprised Salahuddin Kasem Khan, chairman of AK Khan, Anis A. Khan, managing director and CEO of Mutual Trust Bank, Sonia Bashir Kabir, former managing director for Microsoft in Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Bhutan and Laos, Salahdin Irshad Imam, chairman of board audit committee of IPDC, and Irshad Hossain, managing director Hossain group.

Editor-in-chief Duncan Roberts and Maison Moderne’s chargée de mission Pauline Vogel gave the delegation a tour of Maison Moderne and introduced them to different departments. Stéphanie Poras, head of production at Maison Moderne’s Content Agency, demonstrated the development of Delano’s design from its launch in 2011 to the present concept. “It was so energising to see the work at each department full of creativity,” said Zamir after the tour. “Writing and art can combine to create a beautiful message in your magazine. I guess this sets you apart from others.”
