The Chalon de Thé opened its doors this Wednesday in rue des Capucins. Customers will get to drink their cup of coffee in the company of some new feline friends.
Chalon de Thé first started in Metz in August last year. After its success in France, the owner, Mehdi Mimèche, decided to open a second location in the center of Luxembourg City.
Being around pets has been proven to reduce people’s stress level and overall increase happiness. Yet for a lot of people, adopting a cat of their own is not always possible due to lack of space at home, money, or time to take care of the animal.
That is why Luxembourg’s cat lovers will now be able to sit back, enjoy beverages and snacks, and hopefully so lucky as to have a cat purring on their lap.

The name is a play on words in French: “chat” for cat and “salon de thé” for tea room.
