It all started with the Belgian Championship organised by the France Chef Télévision group. Chef Lionel Marchand, talented pastry chef at Hotel Le Royal, participated in this championship and won it brilliantly with his team. Olivier Viatour's idea is to promote and develop this competition by organizing meetings between chefs.

The battle will take place on Tuesday, 20th of November at La Pomme Cannelle restaurant. In competition will be Chef Paul Fourier, maître cuisinier of Belgium, who has been successfully cooking at La Pomme Cannelle restaurant for almost 3 years, Chef Lionel Marchand, recently named "Pastry Chef of the Year" by the very famous guide Gault & Millau, who delights all Royal customers with his original and gourmet creations and who has already distinguished himself in various competitions and, the last but not least, Chef Alain Gilain who runs his own star restaurant in Liroux, on the heights of Dinant.

Let's take the time to introduce you to this less well-known chef in Luxembourg. Chef Alain Gilain made his debut in Brussels in several double starred houses such as Bruneau, l'Ecailler du Palais Royal and Claude Dupont. He also participated in the opening of a few trendy restaurants during this period. It was in 1991 that chef Alain Gilain, back in his native region, decided to open his own business. Barely 5 years later, he received the Gault & Millau award for the most promising young restaurateur in the country. In 1996, he completed his offer by building an annex with 6 bedrooms. In 2000, he received his Michelin star, which he has kept since then, thanks to the finesse of his cuisine, the elegance of his table and the quality of the wines on offer. He puts all his talent at the disposal of his customers to serve the best of the products he selects with care and love. Chef Alain Gilain works in a fair, balanced, generous and tasty way. It is a cuisine where the gastronomic culture is respected, where the Belgian taste is rediscovered and where a modern note restores the plate in its time.

This is the trademark you will find at La Pomme Cannelle dinner where the menu will remain secret until you taste it the same day! Will you be bold ?

During this 6-course dinner, each chefs will prepare different dishes that the guests can then mark and judge. The evening will be very interactive and the participation of guests will be essential in this innovative concept around French gastronomy.

The event will be preceded by a conference from 7pm to 8pm on investment in gastronomy given by Olivier Viatour, founder of France Chef Télévision.
