The City Skyliner is staying in the grand duchy two weeks longer than initially planned.

The highest mobile and most modern observation tower in the world will remain on place de la Constitution until 20 August.

Around a thousand visitors take the 72-meter ride to the top each day, said Thomas Schneider Jr., head of Skyliner GmbH, in L’essentiel.

The fully air-conditioned and wheel-chair accessible tower takes seven minutes to reach the top and can carry up to 60 people at a time. When the skyliner arrives at the top, passengers are offered a breath-taking, 360-degree panoramic view of the city centre and the Petrusse valley.

The tower is open from 11:00 to 21:00 Sundays-Thursdays and from 11:00 to 23:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.

It costs €7 for adults, €4 for children 4-12 and is free for children under 4.

The site opened to the public on 28 June and had originally been set to close on 6 August.

More details are available on the LCTO website.
