The CNS confirmed the delays to broadcaster RTL, saying that reimbursements currently take around six weeks after a medical bill is sent, up from between two to four weeks.

The insurer said the delay was due to the high number of requests for payment submitted. It is currently working on bills sent mid-February.

However, people who have larger amounts of money pending can make an appointment via Guichet.lu to be reimbursed by check. Appointments can be booked by any household that has more than €100 outstanding, with the bills paid no longer than two weeks ago.
