Organisers had initially rescheduled the run from 25 April until 25 July this year, but finally announced that the race would not take place.
“The current situation unfortunately does not allow us to plan and smoothly put in place an event of the size of the DKV-Urban Trail,” organisers said on the run’s website, announcing 24 April 2022 as the next date.
For the second year running, the event has been shelved because of the pandemic. It normally offers 13, 18, 27 and 34-kilometre routes taking runners through different parts of the capital.
The 2019 edition attracted more than 3,000 participants.
The ING Night Marathon was also cancelled for the second year in a row in 2021, with the 2022 edition scheduled for 28 May.
