Aiva CEO Pierre Barreau says the money will boost the firm’s script to music translation service, enabling it to compose film or game soundtracks directly on a script.

Aiva, short for artificial intelligence virtual artist, has built an algorithm fed by more than 15,000 scores of symphonic music.

Using deep neural networks for patterns and rules in the scores, the firm’s technology can predict what comes next in a track, enabling it to compose unique scores.

According to Silicon Luxembourg, the finance comes from angel investors as well as French billionaire Xavier Niel’s Kima Ventures.
