Less than two years after their inauguration in the heart of Hamilius, Galeries Lafayette Luxembourg welcomeed Laurent Dufraisse as its new manager. He took office on 1 June, succeeding Pierre Celerier.

Dufraisse, who graduated with a Master II in management in 2010, joined Galeries Lafayette in 2017 as the manager of the Chambéry store, before taking over as head of Galeries Lafayette Clermont-Ferrand in December 2019.

With a surface area of 6,500m2, Galeries Lafayette was inaugurated late November 2019, and employs some 190 employees. There had been a rumor last fall about a possible departure of the department store from the Royal-Hamilius complex, which was denied by the Parisian group.

The construction of the complex has been completed since December, and the Royal Hamilius complex welcomed the first Decathlon in the country last February.
