Most wines undergo a process called fining to remove impurities and fine tune the color, flavor, and clarity. Fining agents, traditionally made from animal byproducts, are added to the wine to trap unwanted particles and dissolved substances.

Wine lovers enjoy discovering new wines from across the world: South Africa, Lebanon, Argentina, Chile, California, New Zealand, … and also Germany. The award-winning producer from the Pfalz region, Gerhard Schwarztrauber, who for 30 years has been cultivating his love of organic wines of the very highest quality, convinces its customers of the excellence of the wines produced in this great neighbouring country. He has been named best German ORGANIC wine producer for three years running in 2015, 2016 and 2017 at the MUNDUS VINI BIOFACH international competition. And all his wines are "Vegan"!

Vegan-suitable wines will use an inert clay called 'bentonite', or let the sediment naturally settle before bottling the wine, rather than using egg, or animal based products. The quality of the wine remains the same or some even say it’s improved, and the production is animal-friendly.

As happens each year, many owners and representative will be sharing their passion for wine in the shopping mall in the La Belle Etoile Shopping Center. A great opportunity to discover the very best of what is being producing around the globe and to taste the german organic wine.

Always on the lookout for extraordinary wines, Cactus has also selected some new high-end estates, in particular in South Africa, Australia and Spain. Until Sunday 25 March, Cactus invites to its 2018 World Wines Festival at the La Belle Etoile Shopping Center. Customers will have the opportunity to try some new ones and to stock up on bargains with one of the largest selections in Luxembourg.
