The national lottery sold tickets worth €111m last year, despite a dip during lockdown. The Euromillions lottery accounted for 38% of tickets sold, followed by the Rubbel scratch tickets (25%) and the national Lotto lottery (24%).

Lotto earnings increased because of a ticket price hike. The sale of Rubbel tickets decreased for the first time in eight years, by 5%. Euromillions ticket sales were also down 3%.

The Loterie transferred €22.2m to the Oeuvre nationale de secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte to finance philanthropic activities, including programmes to support families affected by the covid-19 pandemic.
