Inflation in Luxembourg was 0.82% in 2020, compared to 1.74% in 2019.
That’s according to a report published by the Observatoire de la formation des prix, the economy ministry’s inflation monitoring outfit, on 18 March.
Inflation was pushed down by lower petroleum prices (-13.5%), but offset by rises in services (+1.3%), the monitoring centre said.
Luxembourg’s 0.82% figure was above the EU average (0.74%) and higher than the rate recorded in all of the immediately neighbouring countries. It was 0.52% in France, 0.43% in Belgium and 0.37% in Germany.
