Kodehyve this week was among 11 firms to be selected for the Fit4Start programme, which sees entrepreneurs receive funds and coaching through Luxinnovation and the economy ministry.
And founder Felix Hemmerling and Julien Casse had more good news to report as they raised €1m from a group of investors in Luxembourg and Singapore, including: Laurent Schonckert (CEO of Cactus), Frank Veyder (former investor and COO at Slightly Mad Studios), John Li (former managing partner and chairman at KPMG), Eric van de Kerkhove (former partner at Deloitte), Benoit Schaus (former partner at Deloitte), Bruno Beernaerts (former managing director at Capita and partner at Deloitte), as well as private equity and real estate investors Robert Godart et Charles Sunnen.
“We are living in 2021, and real estate still relies heavily on outdated processes. From lengthy email exchanges to physical mail and phone calls, the real estate market is at least five to ten years behind the financial industry in digitisation and the widespread use of powerful solutions. Our vision is to make the real estate market 100% digital, and we know it is possible,” says co-founder Julien Casse about the project.
Kodehyve is B2B collaboration software helping real estate developers, agencies and funds to plan, manage and analyse their construction and commercial projects more effectively. Through the selection of internal modules, as well as third-party interfaces, Kodehyve aims to enable real estate professionals to work more efficiently and deliver a better user experience in the three areas of project management, customer relationships, as well as financial and data analysis.
Available features include task and deadline management, information and document exchange flows, digital onboarding of customers, electronic signatures, know your customer and anti-money laundering checks, invoicing, live chat, budgeting, financial analysis, and more. Kodehyve also want to support real estate players to achieve their sustainability ambitions by going 100% digital, thus reducing their carbon footprint.
The funds raised will allow the team to grow to 12 people but also to tackle new markets, for example in Munich, Berlin, Zurich and Geneva.
Software as a service
Software-as-a-service company Yotako, which bridges the gap between web/mobile designers and engineering teams, also announced fundraising of €1m from business angels and the ministry of the economy.
Yotako in 2016 began developing a software that allows bringing together coders, engineers and graphic designers and share projects and designs for application or website project, whether made on Adobe XD, Sketch or Photoshop, among others.
Hosted by Technoport, the startup raised the funds from a group of Luxembourg and Belgian business angels, including Romain Hoffmann (LBAN/Spuerkeess), Christophe Bianco (Excellium Services), lawyer Stephan Le Gouëff, as well as Agile Partner.
The funds will allow Yotako to more quickly implement user feedback. “The company has experienced continuous growth over the past few years. This constant growth is fueling the company, with registered users around the world,” said founder Alfonso Garcia in a statement.
