On 10 and 11 June, the crown prince insisted on joining the team of the army, which was composed of an officer, a non-commissioned officer, a corporal and 12 voluntary soldiers to finish the 2x40 km.
On the first day, Francine Closener, the secretary of state for defence, hiked the 12km tour and joined the team at the end.
This year marked the 50th anniversary of the march, formerly known as the "marche de l'armée".
