Now 55, the China-born table tennis star moved to the grand duchy in 1991 and began playing for Luxembourg’s national squad.

The Tokyo 2020 games will be the fifth time she is competing at the Olympic level. Her qualification, announced Wednesday, comes on the heels of her earning a bronze medal at the European Games, when she beat Yang Xiaoxin, representing Monaco, 4-2.

The Tokyo 2020 games will take place on 24 July-9 August 2020. To follow the Luxembourg team in the leadup and throughout the games, visit the “Team Lëtzebuerg” site.
