The ecologically conscious supermarket Ouni said it will open a second store next year.

Ouni (which means “without” in Luxembourgish) opened its Gare district shop in December 2016, featuring organic, package free goods. Earlier this year the cooperative supermarket started a fundraising drive for a location in Dudelange.

“In less than five months, [Ouni] raised the sum of €100,000, which is sufficient to officially commit” to the Dudelange shop, Ouni said in a press release sent to Delano on 21 November.

Ouni will sign a lease for a rue de la Libération location in December, according to the press statement. “The opening will be in 2020.”

Information sessions for current and prospective cooperative members will be held, in Luxembourgish, on Wednesday 27 November, 8pm-9:30pm, in Schifflange and on Tuesday 3 December, 8pm-9:30pm, in Esch-Alzette.
