To mark the 50th anniversary of the first manned lunar landing, the second man to set foot on the moon, Buzz Aldrin, was in Luxembourg at the invitation of the US embassy. Some 400 guests attended the reception hosted by US ambassador to Luxembourg Randy Evans.

They not only heard addresses from Evans and Aldrin, but also from visiting US senator Roger Wicker and House of Representatives majority leader Steny Hoyer and Luxembourg prime minister Xavier Bettel.
