Deloitte on 28 September hosted its annual Horizon conference, with 250 people attending the CovidCheck event to discuss the future of Luxembourg’s financial centre under the theme “Breaking the horizon” for the format’s 10th anniversary.

After the opening speech by John Psaila, managing partner at Deloitte, five speakers took to the stage in the brand new Deloitte auditorium.

"The Horizon conference creates an environment where you can hear different generations discuss hot topics such as technology, innovation or sustainability and open the debate that will shape the world of tomorrow," said Pascal Martino, partner, banking leader at Deloitte Luxembourg and organiser of the event. "By combining the ideas of new generations with the experience of older ones, we are able to explore new avenues and reveal a new era of opportunities."

One of the highlights of the conference was the presentation of the "The future of the financial industry in Luxembourg", the result of a survey conducted by Deloitte Luxembourg on behalf of Luxembourg for Finance. During the conference, Nicolas Mackel, CEO of LFF, shared more in-depth information on this recent publication, highlighting the key themes that will strengthen Luxembourg's position as a successful financial centre.
