How It Started. How It’s Going.

Luxembourg’s legendary music venue, den Atelier, is turning 30 this year and kicked off the celebrations in true Atelier style: bold, creative and community driven. What began in 1995 in a former Renault truck garage in Hollerich has grown into a cornerstone of the country’s live music landscape.

den Atelier was born out of a desire to bring international rock, indie and alternative acts to Luxembourg, which at the time had a relatively quiet live music scene. Inspired by the raw charm of venues in cities like Brussels and Cologne, the founders transformed the garage into a space for musical craftsmanship. From day one, den Atelier set the bar high, with intimate, high-quality shows that brought arena level talent just feet from the audience.

Today, den Atelier is Luxembourg’s leading private concert promoter, organizing everything from from intimate 300-capacity gigs to massive open-air events at Luxexpo and beyond. Artists like Green Day, Sting, Guns N’ Roses, The Black Keys and Mumford & Sons are just a few of the names gracing the 2025 calendar.

The den Atelier x Luxair Collaboration

This anniversary also marks the launch of a new creative collaboration with Luxair. For nearly three decades, den Atelier has brought passion and artistry to the stage, just as Luxair has connected Luxembourg with the world. Now, the two join forces in a tribute to music and movement.

The highlight is a Luxair aircraft fully wrapped in a bespoke livery by artist Loïc. The design channels the pulse of a live concert and the thrill of discovery, celebrating how sound and travel create lasting memories. The collaboration takes flight both literally and artistically, with Loïc’s vibrant compositions also reimagining den Atelier itself.

A Venue Reinvented

Inside and out, den Atelier now features new mural installations, from the revamped courtyard, bistrot to the rooftop. Another highlight is the roof design visible only from above, as planes land at Findel. The venue becomes a living gallery.

The collaboration also includes a limited-edition den Atelier x Luxair merchandise line, featuring aircraft models and accessories inspired by Loïc’s visuals.

30 Years of Stories

To mark the moment, a looks back at 30 unforgettable years. Visitors can explore iconic photos and share their own Atelier memories. The most powerful stories will be integrated into a partial redesign of the venue, to be revealed in October 2025.

The Celebrations Begin, mark your calendars!

While the celebrations begin in spring, the heart of the anniversary will beat in autumn. Mark your calendars for the official Atelier birthday, happening on the weekend of 25–26 October, 2025. The team is curating special guests, and anniversary surprises that pay tribute to three decades of music and memories in the heart of Luxembourg-City.
