DHL Express (Germany) was named the best place in the world to work by Great Place to Work, an international organisation that helps companies to evaluate and improve their organisational culture and employee satisfaction. DHL has been in the ranking for five years, but this is the first time it has been awarded first place. The transport company also took first place in the regional rankings for Asia, Latin America and Europe.
DHL Express’ corporate culture puts employees at the heart of the company, which organises annual initiatives, such as Appreciation Week and the Employee of the Year programme, to honour employees who embody DHL’s core values. “Our employees are at the heart of everything we do and we work hard to make every individual feel valued and understood. By creating a supportive and motivating work environment, we foster a sense of belonging that allows everyone to flourish. Their unique perspectives and contributions fuel our success and set us apart in the industry,” said Fadzlun Sapandi, executive vice president human resources.
“This recognition highlights our unwavering commitment to putting people first and cultivating a dynamic and inclusive culture across our global team of 120,000 employees in more than 220 countries and territories. A cornerstone of this success is our Certified International Specialist programme, which plays a vital role in the excellence of our work. By honouring the dedication of our employees, we can deliver the exceptional service that defines DHL Express,” commented CEO John Pearson.
In Luxembourg since 1957, DHL Express is based in Contern and employed 110 people in 2023.
