The reputation of the Luxembourg Open Air festival (LOA) is well established. Sebastian Jacqué, Ivan Cardoso, Felix Hemmerling and their organising team have twice succeeded in attracting not only the top talent from the international and local EDM scene, but also thousands of festival-goers to the Place de l'Europe.
In 2022, the festival has decided to hold two events to open and close the summer season, including the first LOA Esch, which will take place in Esch on 6 and 7 May. The LOA by Post will take place on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 September 2022 in Kirchberg.
"Both festivals will be held in compliance with the sanitary measures applicable at the time and will have a clear sanitary protocol in order to guarantee the health and safety of visitors, artists and LOA staff, ” Jacqué says. He also specifies that "LOA Esch will kick off the festival season in the spring and is committed to bringing a new musical experience to Belval, a key cultural venue and evolving innovation centre in Luxembourg.”

Occuring in the middle of Esch2022, the festival will be organised in cooperation with the municipality and the Syndicat d'initiative of Esch-sur-Alzette.
Fedde Le Grand, but not only!
The line-up of the first LOA Esch will feature a wide range of international DJs, with superstar Fedde Le Grand, author of the famous 'Put Your Hands Up For Detroit', as the headliner. But EDM, deep house and tech house aficionados can also count on live performances by Blasterjaxx, Tujamo, Mike Williams, Julian Jordan, MATTN, Danko, SLVR, Tiefblau and Rowen Clark...
The festival site in Esch-sur-Alzette will have a relaxation and catering area and will host various side-events throughout the weekend, with a focus on sustainability and innovation. This means no cash payments and no single-use plastic among others.
