St. Patrick's Day is all about having a few pints, but the Emerald Isle is also famous for its excellent beef.

Instead of a list of pubs in the capital, here are eight places to go for a good steak, T-Bone and other Black Angus or Irish Hertfordshire fillet.

In town at any time

The place to go for Irish Angus is the Grand Café by Redbeef. With its setting, location, the quality of its dishes and its continuous service, this establishment remains a sure bet in the city centre of Luxembourg's capital. Entrecôte, rib steak, tagliata and heart of rump steak are all on the menu.

Burgundy fondue

The Chalet de la Kreuzerbuch offers generous gourmet dishes in summer and winter, to be enjoyed with the family at the weekend and with friends on other evenings. So why not indulge in an exceptional Burgundy fondue with Irish Angus beef fillet?

In chalet mode in Schifflange

The Tennis Club of Schifflange has a taste of Ireland too! Indeed, Legend's - Tennis Club House and Chalet restaurant also puts Angus in the spotlight on its menu based on rib steaks and pretty fillets.

The day after the night before in Bonnevoie

Looking for a hangover cure? In Bonnevoie, chef Ben Gonella has put Irish flank steak on his lunch menu for the coming days at the new restaurant Le Laboratoire. He even promises an Irish Prime rib as a suggestion for our informed readers.

A fancy burger in Merl

At the Brasserie des Jardins, the good Irish beef burger is more contemporary and urban, with the “Irish Black Angus beef burger / Homemade Big Mac sauce / Belgian organic farm cheese / Lettuce / Bresaola / Organic yellow tomato” offered as a suggestion at the moment by the chef Alain Seret. And home fries, of course!

Picanha in Kirchebrg

The new De Feierwon restaurant at the Sofitel Europe has decided to play a “sexy grill” card, which gives pride of place to quality Luxembourg meats, of course, but which has also managed to keep a little room for a very appetising picanha of Irish Black Angus.

For sharing in Cents

At the Centser Roud Haus, which has been a safe bet for many years in the field of honest and tasteful cuisine, Irish beef is to be shared among enthusiasts, like a good whisky from the same country... Notably, therefore, on the spot, thanks to “real Irish Angus rib on the bone, served with Béarnaise sauce, vegetables of the moment and potatoes”.

The new kids on the block in Strassen

In Strassen, Meat Me opened last October. Since then, they have been serving up straightforward cuisine with fine meats, including Irish Black Angus--we are talking about a good big T-Bone and tomahawk... A la carte cuts depend on what’s available.

Well, as far as Hertfordshire is concerned, we’ll have to pass! But with all that, you shouldn’t have too much trouble honouring the Irish community and the Irish soil in this St Patrick's Day period... Bon appetit!
