Not for conductor Jordi Savall. At a time when the environmental crisis is on everyone’s mind, the Spanish maestro and his ensemble, Le Concert des Nations, have a clear roadmap: «Saving the planet is still possible with the cooperation, investment and will of everyone», he writes. «May music with its storms and tempests remind us of this».

For his latest project, «Les Éléments et les Furies», Savall has collected some of the most important orchestral pieces of the Enlightenment, from Jean-Féry Rebel to Christoph Willibald Gluck and Georg Philipp Telemann.  

All these hidden gems show us that music and the emotions it arouses play a crucial role in influencing and acting on our conscience, reminding us of the responsibility we have towards the world.
