Engineer Brad Elsbury on designing tomorrow’s technology

In this episode of Newsmakers, Gradel engineer Brad Elsbury talks about modifying a robot dog to spray hospitals with disinfectant or a car seat that can be buried underground after its use for a tree to grow out of it.

Special purpose technology company Gradel, established in Luxembourg since 1965, boasts clients such as the European Space Agency, ArcelorMittal, Guardian, Euroglass, Goodyear and more. Gradel’s lightweight division, where Brad works, aims to reduce the weight of products while maintaining the same durability and performance. More recent projects have seen the company explore the use of biodegradable materials. Tune in to find out more about the company but also about Brad’s hobby as a photographer and how that gives him a new perspective on his work.
