Global asset manager Robeco has appointed a new director for its Luxembourg and Belgium sales team.

Erik van de Weele will take up the role of institutional director and wholesale business development [sic] at Robeco, the asset management firm wrote in a press release dated 27 May 2024. Van de Weele will be responsible for institutional and wholesale clients in Luxembourg and Belgium.

Van de Weele has spent the last five years with Allianz Global Investors, also working with wholesale clients, before which he held various roles including a 12-year tenure with Janus Henderson Investors.

“I am delighted to welcome Erik to our team,” said Robeco’s head of business development for Belgium and Luxembourg, Frank Groven, in the press release. “He has been showcasing an impressively high level of professionality, client-centricity and market knowledge on a wide variety of topics including sustainable investments.”
