Etienne Velasti is the new COO of Maison Moderne. He will take on this role in addition to the CFO position he has held for the past nine years.

During the first half of 2022, Maison Moderne's board of directors decided to strengthen its management by creating the position of COO, whose essential role is to support and supervise the teams in the day-to-day management of operations, in order to achieve operational excellence.

In view of the experience acquired over the last nine years by CFO of Maison Moderne--both at the strategic and operational levels--the board has accepted his candidacy and appointed him COO as of 1 January 2023. Velasti will also continue to act as CFO.

A transversal view of the company

“Since January 2014, after ten years at PwC in the accounting and tax department, where he was in charge of SMEs, Etienne has contributed to the implementation of a new governance model, he is a member of the executive committee and has contributed to the work of the board of directors,” says , CEO and founder of Maison Moderne. “He has advised and supported the management teams over the past nine years, both during the strong growth period between 2014 and 2019 and during the more difficult periods following the covid crisis in 2020. Through his role, which gives him a transversal view of the company with a different prism, Etienne has developed his knowledge of the media market in Luxembourg, while also having worked closely with the different teams on numerous projects over these nine years, which has given him a good understanding of how the different production processes work and how the company operates.”

As COO, Velasti will be the link between the board of directors, the executive committee and the various teams, to ensure that the vision, strategy and objectives of the company are communicated, understood, integrated, deployed and achieved by each member of the executive committee and each employee, in order to gain efficiency and work in complete serenity.
