“I go to Ernster at la Cloche d’Or super regularly,” says , HR director at ING. “The people are really lovely, helpful and passionate: it’s a pleasure to chat with them and listen to their recommendations. I love the way they present books with their opinions and “coup de cœur,” but also initiatives such as “book blind dates.” It can lead to great surprises and new discoveries!”
“To me this is also a place for my whole family, I can stop for a coffee or we can sit on their benches while my family members go around the shelves.”
“It may not fully qualify as a neighbourhood store as it’s in a shopping centre and more of a “big brand,” but I truly feel the close, personal, family atmosphere of a neighbourhood store.”

“On the weekends I enjoy cooking for family and friends,” says Yves Thorn, partner at KPMG. “It’s one of the ways I like to take care of my loved ones! I’ll usually go to the market in the city centre, as it has the best fresh fruit and vegetables and products that are locally sourced. And since the market has so much to offer, I always find myself stopping at the stands to try/sample a little bit of everything. Once I’ve finished my errands for the day, I’ll either do some shopping or meet up with friends for a coffee in one of the neighbouring cafés.”
