Given the current difficulties in the construction sector, it is good news that Atenor has just announced that it has secured a €213m green loan to build PWC Luxembourg’s future campus at the Cloche d’Or, a loan aligned with Atenor’s green financing framework and validated by external advisors ISS ESG.
The new 34,500m2 campus will be built on the site of the Renault garage. The architectural design was entrusted to A2M and Moreno Architecture. It focuses on innovation, sustainability and well-being. Excavation work is currently underway and construction is due to start in early 2025. Delivery is scheduled for mid-2027.
The financing was obtained through a European banking pool: BIL Corporate Finance acted as arranger, installation and security agent and lender, Caisse d’Epargne Belgium as green loan coordinator and lender, and Belfius, Spuerkeess and KBC Bank & Verzekering as lenders. The financing structure includes a term loan to refinance the land acquisition and finance the construction, as well as a revolving VAT facility.
