Circle K has opened its first shop in Luxembourg, in Esch-Belval, three months after the of the acquisition of 60% of TotalEnergies’ Network & Cards business by Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc/Circle K.
The TotalEnergie service station in Wasserbilig will be next on the list. The service station’s shop should be decked out in the red and white colours of Circle K in the coming weeks. These two pilot shops will make it possible to test and adjust product offerings for local consumers, the company said.
Luxembourg and cross-border customers will have two areas at their disposal: a food corner and a coffee corner. In addition, the shop will offer a selection of food and drink products, with a wide choice of sandwiches, hotdogs and coffees.
“Congratulations to the teams and partners who have done a fantastic job in getting our new Circle K shop up and running quickly and efficiently at the Belval site. At Circle K, our mission is to make our customers’ lives a little easier every day. We look forward to opening more Circle K shops in Luxembourg in the near future,” stated Frank Reuter, vice president of Circle K Luxembourg.
Although initially retaining the TotalEnergies branding, some sites will gradually be renamed Circle K. Circle K will modernise its carwashes by offering a seasonal service adapted to the weather conditions and thus marks its entry into the Luxembourg market as an important step in its European expansion.
