For those who like to have their feet in the sand without going to the sea, some Luxembourg towns offer urban and festive beaches that do the job rather well.

In Junglinster

From 1 June to 31 July, the Lënster Plage will become the meeting point for trendy summer aperitifs in Junglinster. Giant screen, deckchairs, big comfy armchairs, mouth-watering BBQs and plenty of spritzers are on the programme.

In the capital

The most discreet of the grand duchy’s urban beaches is hidden in a relatively quiet district of the capital--Neudorf--but within a much less quiet venues: La Chapelle. It’s more a place for fun than for dancing but only a few bus stops from the city centre and Clausen.

At the Cloche d'Or

Since last year, the Cloche d'Or has been bustling with events in front of its flagship shopping centre. In winter with the big chalet, but also in summer, with Cloche d'Or Beach. A real urban beach, in a district eager for entertainment and social interaction. For afterworkers during the week, and more family-oriented at the weekend.

In Esch

In just a few years, the Wicki Beach has become one of the favourite summer spots for Luxembourgers, who don't hesitate to travel south from all over the country to enjoy the many electric parties organised there throughout the summer, with big sounds and well-served cocktails.

Last summer, the resurrection of this Luxembourg nightlife legend caused quite a stir. Located on the banks of the Alzette, The River organised a wide range of festive events, despite last year’s terrible weather. This year, the place changes its name but not its ambition: thus, from Monday 6 June, the Lost Beach Club proposes “So’achella”, a day festival inspired by the famous Coachella. Hippie-chic atmosphere and big line-up on the programme. .
