1. “Economic affairs” section
What is it? The section aims to inculcate the main fundamentals of economics and business creation. Entrepreneurial skills will also be covered.
Who is it for? For budding entrepreneurs! The section is for classes in the last two years of secondary school (2e and 1re). It is open to students who are in the administrative and commercial division (3e general), the economics and mathematics division (classical 3e D), or the entrepreneurship, finance and marketing division (classical 3e N).
Where is it? At the École de commerce et de gestion-School of Business and Management.
2. “Data literacy” section
What is it? “Understanding how [data] is used, assessing its reliability and credibility, and recognising the biases and risks associated with using this information.” This is the programme for this section, during which “students will learn to take a critical look at data in order to be able to make informed decisions and contribute to the development of solutions to challenges in various fields,” explains out the ministry.
Who is it for? The course, which runs in the last two years of secondary school (2e and 1re), is accessible to young people who have completed the following educational milestones: 3e general (administrative and commercial), 3e classic B (mathematics and computing), 3e classic D (economics and mathematics) or 3e classic N (entrepreneurship, finance and marketing).
Where is it? At the École de commerce et de gestion-School of Business and Management.
3. “Music production” section
What is it? This course prepares students “for a career in the music and events sector” and “will enable those interested to learn sound recording and mixing techniques.” An introduction to the cultural sector (and music more specifically), music theory and the mathematical and physical elements needed to understand music are also on the programme.
Who is it for? Admission will be by application, subject to having had an “overall advanced” level in 5G during secondary school, says the ministry, which also warns that a “strong” level in social sciences and "sufficient" in natural sciences is required.
Where is it? At the Lycée Michel Lucius, Limpertsberg campus.
4. Training for educators
What is it? People with special needs, early childhood, teenagers, the elderly... To meet the needs of the market, training for educators will be available in French from September. Until now, the course has been available in German/French.
Who is it for? This is an organised on-the-job training pathway for people at least 21 years of age, with an employment contract in the country and at least one year of experience in the socio-educational sector.
Where is it? At the National School for Adults (Enad), located in Esch-Belval.

L’École d’hôtellerie et de tourisme du Luxembourg (EHTL), in Diekirch, is preparing to . “From the 2025-2026 school year, the following courses will be offered in the first year: the vocational aptitude diploma (DAP) for restaurateurs, the technician diploma (DT) in hotel and management, the DT in tourism and communication and the general secondary school diploma in hospitality management,” the ministry announced.
“In 2026, other courses will be added to this offer,” says the education ministry. In this case, the DAP for waiters, the DAP for English-speaking restaurateurs, the BTS in hospitality management and the BTS in tourism and communication.
