Foyer Group in 2023 reported revenue for insurance in Luxembourg of €826.6m and revenue for life insurance under the freedom to provide services regime of €1,529.4m, the firm said in its annual report, released on 16 April.

Following its general meeting, insurance group Foyer on 16 April 2024 released its . Revenue for insurance in Luxembourg increased to €826.6m (up from €761.5m in 2022), while revenue for life insurance under the freedom to provide services regime came in at €1,529.4m (up slightly from €1,524.1m the year before).

Figures from insurance in Belgium went up to €37.2m (compared to €34.6m in 2022), while revenue from health insurance for expats climbed to €149.6m (from €40.6m the year before).

Earned premiums net of reinsurance (turnover in gross written premiums), operating profit, taxes and net income were all up in 2023, according to Foyer’s annual report.

“Proactive technological leader”

For chairman Eric Kleynen, who took over from in April 2023, “The past financial year was once again a milestone,” he wrote in the preface to the company’s annual report. “Our technical flows and the once again aligned financial markets eclipsed, in relative terms, those of many local and even international players, including some of the biggest.”

“Foyer is equipping itself with the means to be a proactive technological leader in its sector. The group will make technology in general, and artificial intelligence in particular, its ally rather than an existential threat,” said Kleynen, adding, “I know that Foyer will be able to take advantage of the social, technological, and financial changes to come.”

Established in 1922, the Foyer Group has three business lines: insurance, pensions and wealth management. The group is made up of several companies that represent these business lines: Foyer Assurances, Foyer Global Health, Wealins (life insurance) and CapitalAtWork (financial advice and wealth management). In 2023, it  and , its mortgage broker brand, following the acquisition of Nexfin in November 2022.
