Foyer Global Health, a health insurance provider for expatriates and employees in over 180 countries, has announced a partnership with Galytix and its HealthX platform.

With HealthX, generative artificial intelligence will enable Foyer Global Health to assess insurance claims--without the need for an individual to read and consider them--in a matter of seconds. The model will reduce data collection and analysis time from days to minutes, says Galytix, the fintech powering the product. The firm also claims that insights and analyses will be produced. For an insurer, this would mean improvements in portfolio analysis; alerts and claims handling; underwriting and pricing; and risk reports.

“It’s hard to imagine the sheer volume of data generated by health insurance policies, especially when you consider the different formats in which we receive it,” says François Jacquemin, CEO of Foyer Global Health, in the press release announcing the collaboration. “This platform is fundamental to our growth as a company and will transform the way we work with healthcare data by providing us with a ‘golden source of truth’. We are excited about the efficiencies and risk insights we are already generating by leveraging AI at this early stage.”

“HealthX’s powerful generative AI capabilities and easy interface, which take the form of a ‘Health Agent’, enable users to understand a topic faster, discover new health insights and perspectives, and complete tasks more easily,” said Galytix founder and CEO Raj Abrol. “Let’s take a question like ‘what are the high-risk claims?’ Normally, a user would break this down into smaller questions, sort through the vast information available and start putting the pieces together. With Health Agent, users can get an answer by simply asking the question in plain English. It’s like having an on-demand analyst that automates routine work and increases productivity.”

And because artificial intelligence is not magic, Foyer has also recruited the profiles it needs to support this new technological venture.
