Frank Roden has been named managing director of Vistra Luxembourg, the firm announced on 20 November, replacing Jervis Smith.

Fund and corporate service provider Vistra has announced the appointment of Frank Roden for Vistra Luxembourg. Roden joins Vistra from BNP Paribas Securities Services, where he spent 22 years in various positions based in Luxembourg and the United Kingdom, including head of asset managers & asset owners EMEA, head of institutional investors UK, head of asset & fund services UK, and head of global funds services Luxembourg.

“I am excited to be joining Vistra at this milestone moment in its growth journey,” said Frank Roden, newly appointed managing director of Vistra Luxembourg, in a press release. “I look forward to adding value to Vistra clients and colleagues through my extensive experience in asset and fund servicing. I am excited to start working with our teams to help our clients achieve their business goals, while supporting my new colleagues in reaching their professional growth and development aspirations.”

Roden replaces Jervis Smith, who was named country manager director in the grand duchy in September 2019. Smith will remain in Luxembourg until next summer to ensure a smooth business transition, noted the firm, before returning to the UK.

“We are delighted to welcome Frank as managing director for Vistra Luxembourg,” said Steven van Tuijl, regional managing director EMEA. “He joins at a pivotal time as we finalise integration plans with Tricor, ahead of our operational launch as a combined business in 2024. I look forward to working closely together with Frank to further expand and continuously improve Vistra’s business in Luxembourg.” Vistra with Tricor Group, a business expansion specialist group in Asia, in August 2023.

Vistra has 24 office locations in the EMEA region. In the grand duchy, Vistra teams service Luxembourg alternative investment funds, corporate companies with holding, financing, private wealth or intellectual property purposes, as well as securitisation vehicles.
