Find your way, explore... and have your say! For 20 years, Google Maps has been shaping the choices made by users, where every opinion counts. To celebrate this anniversary, the application has unveiled the top-rated places in Luxembourg, selected by thousands of users.

Today, a restaurant, museum or park is chosen as much for what it has to offer as for what others say about it. To mark its 20th anniversary, Google Maps has revealed the top rated places in Luxembourg, based on the thousands of comments left by its users.

The rankings compiled by Google Maps are based on user contributions. To be included in the selection of "top rated places", an establishment must have at least 25 reviews and a rating of 4.0 or higher (out of 5 stars). In each category, only the ten places with the highest number of reviews that meet this criterion are selected. The "highest rated places" are those with the most reviews, regardless of the average rating.

Restaurants with unanimous approval

There's no shortage of good places to eat in Luxembourg, and Google Maps users haven't hesitated to recommend them. Le Rendez-Vous, in Bouneweg-Süd, tops the list thanks to its French cuisine blended with influences from around the world. Snack Kebab La Petite Turquie, in Troisvierges, is a big hit with its generous kebabs. For a sweet break, head to O'Délices Des Bains, in Mondorf-les-Bains, where the pastries are a real crowd-pleaser.

Other restaurants also stand out: Z&R Sushi, for sushi fans, Salento, for Italian gastronomy, and Sensa - Restaurants & Lounge Bar, appreciated as much for its food as for its friendly atmosphere.

Attractions everyone loves

Whether it's a spot to admire the view or a place to remember, some places stand out. The Mirador stands out as the highest-rated attraction thanks to its panoramic rooftop and festive events. The Aussichtspunkt Runtschelt, on the banks of Upper Sûre Lake, offers a breathtaking view of the Sûre valley. The more solemn burial site of General George S. Patton attracts history-seeking visitors.

Users also recommend the Labyrinth, where you need to know your way around, the Observation Bridge at Place de la Nation, ideal for a city panorama, and the Gringlay viewpoint, perched on the heights.

Google Maps isn't limited to restaurants and monuments. Green spaces also have their regulars... and their notes! Parc Edith Klein in Luxembourg City tops the list, followed by the Sentier commémoratif de la bataille des Ardennes, a 3km commemorative trail through the Schuhmanns Eck forest, a former second world war battlefield. Parc Riedgen rounds off the top 3 best-rated parks.

Other green spaces that attracted weekend walkers and joggers included the Parc d'Echternach, the Parc Tony Neuman and the Bois de Clairefontaine. The Parc Thermal de Mondorf-les-Bains, known for its peaceful setting, also makes it into the rankings.

Museums worth a visit

Culture lovers are not left out. The Lëtzebuerg City Museum takes first place among the top-rated museums, with its exhibitions retracing more than 1,000 years of the capital's history. Just behind it, Kamellebuttek, a gallery of contemporary and urban art, impresses with its daring programme. In Diekirch, the National Museum of Military History fascinates history buffs with its immersive dioramas and military collections.

Other popular museums include the Musée de l'Ardoise, the Pompjeesmusée an der Géitz and the Musée National d'Histoire Naturelle. Unsurprisingly, Mudam - Musée d'Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean is one of the museums most commented on by users.
