Hundreds gathered at the Cercle Cité on Tuesday evening to support Ukraine’s rapid recovery and reconstruction.

The gala was the culmination of a day dedicated to supporting the war-devastated country through a landmark

“The reaction was great. Also for the Ukrainians, they found it absolutely useful,” Evgenia Paliy, Ukraine Luxembourg Business Club president, told Delano.

Individual tickets for the event had been sold for €500 (€350 for members of the ULBC, which organised both events), while corporate tables went for €10,000. 

All tickets, sponsorships and private donations raised funds for Ukraine first lady Olena Zelenska’s foundation. 

The focuses on restoring human capital of the country through education, healthcare and humanitarian needs, both during and after the war. 

Although the final amount raised for the foundation has not been calculated, contributions can still be made via the . Paliy added, “We also have a collect account through the ArcelorMittal Foundation, in case that’s easier for companies for tax purposes.”
