They are the Luxembourg of tomorrow. They have a head full of ideas and a crazy desire to make them a reality. What do they have in common? They are under 40 and represent Luxembourg's #Nextgen. Each day, discover the portraits of these 100 women and men who are the new face of the country. In this instalment: Gregory Haentges, who runs the Asport brand, and Marie-Lou Haentges, who runs the Stitch brand.

Since the opening of the first Asport shop in Ingeldorf in 1986, founded by their mother Mariette Wickler, the family group has undergone numerous developments and now has almost ten outlets across the country based on different concepts: Asport, Asport Cycling, Hixx, Scoop86, Stitch and the latest Absolute Teamsport.

Gregory and Marie-Lou Haentges, aged 30 and 28 respectively, are the second generation to run the shops (their father Marc, co-founder, died in an accident in June 2023 at the age of 58). Gregory is in charge of the sports brands, while Marie-Lou is the manager of Stitch, a shop dedicated to streetwear and sneakers.

While Marie-Lou has a master's degree in business from Munich, her brother Gregory joined the family business at an early age. “I've been with the company for 13 years,” he says, “and I wanted to work with my hands, so I did an apprenticeship in mechanics.”
