The ministry of foreign affairs has announced the extension of health measures for travellers arriving in Luxembourg by plane until 14 September 2021.

The rules for entering Luxembourg by plane have just been extended,  so we thought we’d provide a useful reminder of the rules at the start of the holiday season. There has been just one adjustment to the former rules: the age limit for people who must present a certificate of vaccination, recovery or a negative covid test for boarding has been raised from 6 to 12 years.

Additional rules for India and the UK

Travellers coming from the United Kingdom and India, where the Delta variant has been circulating, require additional measures, extended until 31 July inclusive for the UK, and until 14 September for India. They must carry out a covid test on arrival - which is free of charge at Findel - regardless of the means of transport. They must also observe a seven-day quarantine and carry out a second test after the sixth day. If they refuse, the quarantine is extended by seven days. Travellers are obliged to report their presence to the health inspectorate by email: [email protected] or phone: 247-65533.

The rules for entry into other countries have been compiled and updated on the website. The concept of a complete vaccination schedule may, for example, vary from place to place, with some countries requiring a period of 15 days after the second dose.
