Applications are open for start-up companies operating in ICT, healthtech and space with the deadline fixed on 4 October. Innovation-oriented start-ups younger than five years and with a team of at least two people can apply for Fit 4 Start’s next edition which will last from January to June 2022.
Up to five of the selected businesses will benefit from a programme involving Luxembourg’s national high-performance computer (HPC) Meluxina. The grand duchy’s HPC centre will offer them access to computing and data analytics capacities.
“Granting access to Meluxina via Fit 4 Start is a strong competitive advantage to the selected high potential start-ups in the acceleration programme across industries,” says Stefan Berend, head of start-up acceleration at Luxinnovation. “We believe this is an outstanding opportunity for ambitious tech entrepreneurs to deliver cutting edge products and solutions to European markets.”
Meluxina, a €30.4m project, was launched in July as part of Luxembourg’s digitalisation strategy. Around two thirds of the supercomputer’s capacity are commercialised in Luxembourg, with industry, research, as well as SMEs and start-ups among the users of Meluxina.
