Prices are rising almost continuously, supply is still insufficient, mortgage rates are constantly rising, the construction sector is running out of steam while the property development sector is slowing down more and more... All the housing indicators are in the red in Luxembourg. What was still just a ‘problem’ not long ago is becoming a real crisis.
The theme will obviously be central in the next election campaign. This is why the Paperjam + Delano Business Club has chosen it for the first of its four pre-election roundtables (there will also be debates on the economy on 6 June and on taxation on 27 June, with a major debate between the heads of party lists taking place on 19 September).
Participating in the housing debate will be the housing minister Henri Kox (Déi Gréng),
Max Hahn (DP), Max Leners (LSAP),
Elisabeth Margue (CSV), Sylvie Mischel (ADR),
Nathalie Oberweis (Déi Lénk) and Chloé Timmerman (Piratepartei).
Organised in the premises of PwC Luxembourg, a partner of the event, the discussions will be moderated by Paperjam journalists Céline Coubray and
Nicolas Léonard from 7.30pm.
To attend the debate in-person, register via this link.
This roundtable will also be broadcast online on www.paperjam.lu (in French) and on www.delano.lu (dubbed in English) thanks to the support of the Union des Entreprises Luxembourgeoises and its members (ABBL, Aca, Chambre de Commerce, Chambre des Métiers, CLC, Fédération des Artisans, Fedil and Horesca). Streaming in French will be available on Inwink for members and guests of the Paperjam + Delano Business Club.
The broadcast will start at around 7:20pm-7:30pm
