The Housing Fund is building three residences with a total of 42 flats in the new Mathendal housing estate in Niederkorn.

The future "Mathendal" district in Niederkorn is designed as an eco-district, with one third of the area reserved for public spaces and green areas. It is in this context that the Fonds du Logement has entrusted Jim Clemes Associates with the architectural design of three residences, the first brick of which was laid on 26 October.

These residences, located on rue de Bascharage, will house 42 one-to-four-bedroom flats, ranging in size from 61 to 107m2. Two commercial spaces are also planned on the ground floor of the buildings. Each flat has a balcony and a cellar. The basements are reserved for laundry rooms and communal parking. The flats will be marketed as subsidised rentals. Between the residences, a common and public courtyard featuring a playground is being developed.
