Join a club

There are numerous social clubs that are great ways to meet fellow-minded expats. The American Women’s Club, British Ladies Club and Irish Club of Luxembourg have provided invaluable support over the years and their activities are not exclusively limited to members from those countries. Play sports

A great way to stay fit, meet people and challenge yourself is to play a team sport. Several clubs play at quite a high level in leagues in Germany and Belgium. Rugby, cricket, hockey, Gaelic sports and ice hockey are among the most popular with adults in the international community, with touch rugby, ultimate frisbee and polo enjoyed by mixed genders.

Follow your passion

If you are a keen singer, enjoy acting or other aspects of theatre, or have a passion for creative writing, then there are plenty of associations that can cater to your hobby and even help you develop your talent.

Get on social media
